Work Experience

Coryton Energy Project, UK

I worked on Coryton Energy Project in Bechtel's Frederic MD, USA, office. It was a 800MW combined cycle power plant project in UK. My responsibilities were:

• Design and detailing of Auxiallary Cooling Tower Basin.
• Design and detailing of Air Cooled Conderser building foundation.
  
• Design of Compressor foundation as dynamic foundation.
• Design and detailing of Stack foundations.
  
• Design and detailing of power block foundation.
  
• Review of Vendor drawings and coordination with other disciplines.

Reliance Petroleum Project, Jamnagar, India

It is the biggest petroleum refinery in Asia being setup at Jamnagar, India. My responsibilities included design and production of concrete and steel structure drawings, Preparation and review of underground utility services drawings, Storm water drain network design, Coordination with other disciplines for getting input of design and production of deliverables.

Lately I have been involved in Analysis of 102 inch dia flare line supported on about 12 m high trestles in GT-STRUDL, incorporating the additional flexibility in the system occurring due to the presence of trestles and modeling of friction forces at the support locations.

Pesticide Plant (Details confidential)

The project was in the bidding stage. Preliminary engineering and MTO quantities were required to access the cost of the project.

Beside other job did the preliminary engineering and complete MTO of the Main Process Building and Pipe racks & Pipe bridges.

• Main process building was a steel building of 825 sq. m area and 35 m height and had various equipment supported on the structure. Preliminary design and complete MTO was done for the same.
• Pipe racks & Pipe bridges were approximately 150 m long having 4 bridge (spanning upto 25 m in length). The structural scheme and design for those bridges and racks was done and the complete MTO was prepared.

Expansion of plant of PepsiCo India Holdings limited, Roha, Raigarh, Maharastra, India.

I was given the responsibility to coordinate the various activities at site. Also to ensure the quality of construction and get the work done within specified time.

Planetabling and contouring of 200 Acres of area for proposed ash pond Stage II for NTPC Unchahaar, U.P., India

The project was given to Department of civil engineering, Indian Institute of technology, Kanpur. With the help of two faculty members and my colleague we manage to complete the project in adverse weather.
